The Christmas Unit
This unit begins with El Dia de los Inocentes on Dec.28th. Students learn about the current holiday and it’s origin. Students also compared this holiday to April 1st. Students received a monigote and starting the 13th of December they may attempt to place in on classmates’ backs (only during my Spanish class) or preferred, my back.
Students will be presented with a few Villancicos.
Students will learn about the sortero (the national anual lottery at Christmas time Spain),also know as el Gordo. We will look at the current advertisement “Carmela” , last years ad Justino and years prior.
If time permits I might teach about caga tío.
When we get back from the holidays students will learn about Los Reyes Magos (The Three Wise Men)
